Today we had our editing workshop teaching us how to put all of our shots together, crop, move them around etc, to be able to put together our opening title sequences.
The editing software we used is Adobe premier pro which is used by small Youtubers to people with over 2 million subscribers.
Their are four different editing sections for each part of the editing process, the first screen is for the origional selected footage (rushes), the second is the edited version you have done on the footage, the bottom left is all of the different files and the bottom right is where u edit the footage such as cropping it and putting them together.
We were told to constantly save whenever we remember and/or can incase the computer brakes or wifi cuts out so we do not loose any important material and have to start over.
The cutting tool is used to crop footage into smaller clips taking out certain parts of a shot. The short cut key for cutting and arrow is shift, right arrow.
In points are where the clip starts and end points are when the clip ends, they are used to select certain sections of a clip exactly.
+ zooms in and - do zooms out on the software
The short cut for undo is Ctrl and 'Z'.
You need to be careful putting footage onto the time
line to make sure all the clips have no gaps in between as when you play the full edited sequence the screen will go black inbertween clips making it look un-proffessional.
